Frequently Asked Questions
Can I Meet The Puppies Before Placing A Deposit Or Picking My New Puppy?
All of our puppies are raised in our homes and cared for by our foster and partner families. For the health and safety of our dogs and young puppies as well as our families, we do not allow for puppy visits before they have turned 8 weeks old and have been cleared by our vet.
Are Doodles Hypoallergenic?
No puppy or dog is completely non-shedding or is guarunteed to be allergy free. Hypoallergenic means “relatively unlikely” or less likely to cause allergic reactions. With that being said, doodles do have allergy friendly properties, but it is never guarunteed as some people can be allergeic to things other than the dogs coat.
What Sizes Do You Work With?
Currently we work with Mini and Standard size doodles.
Mini Aussiedoodles: 20-35+ lbs at maturity
Standard Aussiedoodles: 50-70+ lbs at maturity
Standard Goldendoodles: 55-75+ lbs at maturity
Mini Bernedoodles: 35-55 lbs at maturity
Standard Bernedoodles: 60-90+ lbs at maturity
Standard Newfypoos: 90-150+ lbs at maturity
What Generation Of Doodles Do You Work With?
Currently, we work with F1 and F1b Doodles. Our F1 pairings produce wavy coats. An F1 Doodle puppy is a result of two different purebred parent dogs, such as a purebred Australian Shephard and a purebred Poodle. F1 Aussiedoodles are a 50/50 cross.
F1b pairings are 75% poodle. For example, an F1b Aussiedoodle is a cross between an F1 Aussiedoodle and a purebred poodle. F1b pairings produce wavy or curly coats.
Do You Start Puppy Training?
We do start with basic puppy training before your puppy goes home with you. We begin potty training with a litterbox, and crate training at 4-5 weeks of age. Generally the best time to start real training with your puppy is at the 8 week take home date.
Do Doodles Shed?
Our Doodles are low to non-shedding. We cannot guarantee any puppy to be 100% non-sheding, however shedding is typically very mild with our puppies.
What Will My Puppy Come With?
Each puppy will go home with a care package complete with their vaccination schedule, vet check paperwork, a blanket with mama’s scent, a baggie of puppy food, their favorite toy, a treat and a collar.
When Will My Puppy Be Ready To Leave?
Puppies will be ready to leave at 8 weeks old and will have two sets of vaccines and 2 de-wormings prior to going home as well as a general vet exam.
